Hi, I keep my 14 week yorkie in a 2' x 6' playpen. The pet store recommends house breaking by confining him most of the time. I keep him in there for a few hours and let him out to play for about 1/2 hour to an hour.

He sleeps in there and also is now trained to go on his wee wee pad inside the playpen. However he loves to bite and rip the wee wee pad where he has pee'ed and sometimes even chews and swallows the little pieces that breaks off. Why is he doing that and how can I stop him from doing it?
