Approaching adulthood for me is about 5-6 monthes. It's hard to tell coats as there are so many variables. When I'm looking for a pup that I might want to hold back for show potential I look at topline, tailset, movement, attitude, bite, and earset. I have a gal now who's coat has the look of the dogs coming out of Hungary, even Georgette thought she might have European lines (she doesn't, only Canadian). The problem is she's breaking a bronze toned gold on her head and not silver. This unusual and we're not sure how it will end up. I'm showing her in a match next month to see what the judges think but we'll just have to wait to see what happens with her coat. After you've repeated a breeding several times you learn more what to expect from it.
