Get a comfy dog bed! Even if you let him sleep with you, he'll want a comfy place to call his own and to keep his favorite toys. Also find out from the breeder what kind of toys he likes and get one or two of those. I found out from mine that he loves squeeky toys, and I was SO glad that he had told me because it was great to have things here that made him feel positive about his new home! Some good treats that are special just for when he potties in the right place, and a clicker will also help the pottying along.

You might also want to look around at your options for doggy school. Even if you have a well behaved yorkie, it really helps. Paddington (in my opinion) is SO good, yet I think the time spent with our trainer has been invaluable, and it has just made him all the better!
