At what age does a puppy approach adulthood? I was wondering if U breeders could answer this. I have my 6 babies and I'm trying to learn to figure out what coats they will have, Silky or Cotton. I was reading the Breaking Patterns on the fourm here which I printed out and it states about a puppy aproaching adulthood. At what age do U know what kind of coat U're pups will have? Is it before the 12 weeks or after? How do U judge which ones are keepers of U're litter for coats? Can this be done before they go to their forever homes? I know most of U outstanding breeders here will not allow a baby to leave home until they are at least 12 weeks old. So how do U make U're choices of which babies would be good show or pet babies?
