When my daughter was 3 years old she was diagnosed with it. She had a tick bite and a couple days later she started with a fever, then a couple days after that she couldn't walk very good because her legs hurt. She was started on antibiotics and she did fine. She is almost 18 years old now and she hasn't had any problems from it. Also the test that they use to check for it is only 50% accurate, so if the symptoms are there then they just treat it anyway.
