Default Genes

Bites are a recessive gene..meaning parents do not have a bad bite, but carry the gene. When bred to another Yorkie who carries the recessive gene you can get a bad bite...many genes are recessive and do not pop up, others pledge you. You had no way of knowing. If you use another male with this female is may or may not happen, depending if the male carries the same recessive gene. You could repeat the breeding and not get a repeat..but with a litter of 4, I believe it is a 25% given.
