I would highly recommend confirmation training, not obediance training. There is a difference. In obediance they train to sit and stay, etc...
Confirmation - you want him to stand and walk, and be use to people's touch. So be sure to enter him in confirmation training/handling classes - not obediance if you want to show in confirmation.
