I have just installed a camera and intercome to my front door , That way I know who is at the door before I open , you know how many persons (if men, woman , family etc.) and their looks ...sometimes just by looking at them , you can tell . And also I think once they see the camera , things will be different.....I feel so much better now with this protection.
