Jazzi wanted in on the cuddles and Roxy started with the growling. Well Jazz has been so nice and tolerant of Roxy's Me & ONLY ME Tantrums and jumped up on the bed anyway. They started chasing each other around the room and went behind the Rocker where my husband had trouble getting them. Jazzi's toenail went in Roxy's Eye and ripped it. At first they thought it was the cornea and let me know the worst case scenario would be to remove the eyeball. I was Freaking out! Luckily it was the third Eye Lid and they had enough tissue to reattach it. I never even knew they had 3 eyelids. You learn something new everyday. Jazzi is spending time at my father Inlaws house until Roxy's eye heals. Strangely enough his dog Mack was just put down this week because he suffered a stroke. So Grandpa was there with open arms for Jazzi. I'm still not sure what to do about this. I hate to let Jazzi go but I might have to. Well for now I have to concentrate on Roxy and getting her better. I have to put salve on her eye 3 times a day. Man it's like fighting a Barracuda! She weighs 7 lbs and it seems like 70 or 700! She also has to wear one of those collars so she doesn't scratch her eye. She is miserable and vomited during the night and had dysentery today. On top of everything else she is coming into season and is starting to bleed. Next I am going to have to keep Auggie away from her . He will reinjure her eye. He tries to hump her head, hip, back, side. Well you get the picture. Anyway the reason I wrote this in the first place is to see if anybody else ever had this eye injury? If so could shed any light for me.
Ahhh so sorry all this has happened. I hope you get it all worked out and roxy gets well soon.
