The only thing about regular ice cream is that dogs are lactose intolerant so too much milk, ice cream, or other dairy products can give them diarrhea. If you are just giving a small amount sometimes as a treat, I'm sure it is fine. I've given Lacy frozen custard a couple times and she loves it! There was a couple times she had too much though and threw it up afterwards. But as long as she only gets a small amount she does fine.
