I have a yorkie pup that is already 7 lbs and is nowhere near full grown yet. I expect she'll end up being about 10 lbs when she is an adult. I purposely chose the biggest pup in the litter; I wasn't after a show-dog, I have a lot of friends with bigger dogs that sometimes play a little rough, I live in a more rural area, and I hope to have children within the next 15 years, so I wanted my dog to be a bit more of a rough and rowdy terrier than a tiny, delicate little thing. There were other pups in the same litter that were much littler than she is and will probably stay closer to 5 or 6 lbs-- but she's certainly just as much a yorkshire terrier as her brothers and sisters. There's just more of her to love.
