Hi everyone, yesterday I was sent an ignorant email from someone on yorkietalk. I have no idea who this person is or why they would think the things that they do. At first I had no idea how this person could have gotten my email address, but then I realized it was probably very simple. When I first joined yorkietalk I was very excited to meet people that loved their furbabies as much as I do. My furbabies mean the world to me and until now this place has always been very enjoyable. I've always loved posting pictures and sharing my babies with all of you. I'm truly sorry if anyone has ever felt I posted too many. My camera is always by my side snapping a picture of my babies doing something. This is just the type of person I am. I want to remember everything.
Most of you know who my girls are and that I have a pekingese named Snoot. Yes, Pia is quite the small yorkie but what most of you don't know is the lies and hell her breeder put us through. Lets just say I thought Pia was a 4 lb. dog and this definately was not the case. I wouldn't trade Pia in for the world, but it was never my intentions to buy such a small furbaby. I know many love and want the tiny yorkies and that is completely your business, but I was honestly looking for another yorkie around Trixie's size. She's a good 4 1/2 lbs. and this happens to be my favorite size. Regardless, I love all yorkies no matter what their size is. I love seeing all the differen't colors and sizes here on yorkietalk. I'm going on about size because this is what I was emailed about.
I am not one to discuss the size of my babies unless I am asked. Sometimes I have even ignored these questions because I didn't want people to think I was some size freak about my dogs. Why "some" people are so obsessed with this breed is beyond me. I've had Snoot for over 12 years and have never been asked his weight and his measurements. The pm's that I recieve about Pia and now Paisley's size truly amaze me. I have to wonder what goes through "some" people's head when they're typing.
I've debated on posting something about this, but I wanted this person to see that I am not going to be run off here because of their dumb comments. Brooke, (Stedman's mommy) gave me the idea to post a pic of Pia on a scale to shut this person up. Thank you Brooke......
At first we laughed about this, but then the more we discussed it, I thought it was a good idea. Please don't think I'm being anal by the pics posted, but I want this person to see I have no reason to lie about Pia's size. What in the world would I get out of her being so tiny???? I would do just about anything to have her gain some weight. However, she isn't skinny and her weight fits with her frame. She actually has a nice round belly on her and LOVES to eat.
The following is what I was sent:
"Dina I am a fellow yorkie yakker and see pea all the time on there. Is she really the size claimed? I do not think she is for that seems tiny for her age. She is over one year right? She is not a pupy? I think she is very beutiful just dont believe her size. Do you lie about her? Is she younger then you say to make her look smaller? Many on yorkietalk are crazy over her but while talking with girls we dont think she is the size you say. Probably bigger. That would be way small.Could I know your breeder? Ok just my opinion.

Thank you karen for such an ignorant email. I truly feel bad that you have nothing better to do then to sit around and wonder about Pia's size. Please note, her name is Pia not Pea and better yet, you can call her Princess Pia. Oh and she was born April 12, 2005. If you've seen a puppy with the hair that Pia has, please post a picture because I would love to see that. She's well over two years old and again, why would I need to lie about something so dumb. You have some nerve to ask for her breeder's information, LOL. What a joke!!! Hope you enjoy the pictures....
