Make sure there is food and water available to her night and day while she's nursing such a large brood. Tehy go down very quickly with eclampsia so make sure that you can get a hold of your vet 24/7. Have goats milk puppy suppliment or whelping pudding available to her during whelping and some nutracal on hand as well. She'll need all the energy she can get! Good luck with your big litter. Have a beautiful whelping. |
Tami,
Thank yo so much.
Just a couple questions:
1) What is "a bit?" a Tablespoon, 1/2 cup, 1 cup?
2) "Nutracal" where do you buy it? How often do you give to your new Mommy?
Please, if you can think of anything else...please share with me. I will apprecialte it.
