Vaccines work by challenging the immune system. If she is sick that she is on antiobiotics, her immune system is not going to be working properly. You don't want to challenge an immune system that is already challenged fighting off an infection or illness.
Yes, keep the appt and be sure to talk to your Vet and your concerns. the Vets I know won't vaccinate if there is a pre existing illness. |
Exactly what happened to Lucy. She got her Bordetella shot and the next day came down with kennel cough. Thank goodness she is a strong pup and it wasn't a big deal but I was so scared of the cough I had them xray her chest for pneumonia
