Thank you all for the congratulations! Mom and babies are home now and seem to be doing well. Mom is still getting used to the idea of the pups, but she is cooperative with them nursing and has occasionally licked them, so hopefully those mommy juices will kick in soon.
I did get some sleep (about 3 to 3 1/2 hours. I just got into bed as my husband was getting out of it LOL! (He has a nearly 2 hour commute every day so he leaves major early).
No, it wasn't a planned C section. She ended up not being able to pass the puppies.
As far as the vet charges, how does Just over $700 sound? You think he still needs a bottle of wine or something? He did say he was going to stay up and watch them all night (of course there was an extra charge for this, too), but he must have gotten
some sleep cause he looked pretty chipper this morning.
Please keep mom and pups in your prayers that they will all do well and thrive.
