Hi Jess!
Just like we wake up with "sleepy" eyes in the morning so do our furbabies. It is kind of hard to wash out, especially if they have long hair around their little faces. I usually will just wet a wash cloth and leave it kind of drippy wet and wash from the inside corner out. (my girls like having their faces washed so they sit really still for this) sometimes I have to take a dry paper towel to gently pull the rest off. I had read some posts on here where people have used those small flea combs to comb it out.
