Are you flying commercial back home? If you are I'd highly recommend that as soon as you can find out what airline you are flying. Many airlines have very strict rules about pets. When we flew to Korea, my 3 cats flew on a special air cargo plane equipped for animals, ie it had enough temp and air control and was a direct flight to make the long flight easier for them.
