Hi Everyone! I haven’t posted in awhile, but I still surf around occasionally and read everyone’s posts. I can’t believe how this site has grown and everyone’s babies are sooooo beautiful! I have a dilemma I’m hoping you folks might be able to give me some suggestions on… I need the doggie experts!

I have a neighbor two houses down who is a really great guy. From the first day I moved in, he introduced himself right away and has been very friendly every time I see him. He’s got cancer and is going through chemo and radiation treatments. He has a St. Bernard who is pretty old and very tame and he and Bridget play occasionally.

So here’s the deal. This guy lets his dog out off leash and he comes over and poops on my front lawn. We’re talking BIG poops here! I find ginormous piles on my lawn a couple times a week. So gross! I would NEVER let my dog poop on someone’s lawn and not pick up! I’m getting really tired of having to clean it up all the time and it's killing my lawn.

I feel terrible about even saying anything. He’s such a nice guy and I really don’t want to hurt his feelings or make him upset. Everyone wants to keep peace with their neighbors you know? I considered reporting it to the HOA, but I don’t want to get him in trouble either. Any suggestions on how to gently ask him to pickup after his dog?
