I nicked Abbie's little booty the first time I trimmed her with those trimmers. She was just a little pup at the time. I felt HORRIBLY about it

but she was ok. I thought she was never going to let me get close to her with those trimmers again but she did, the little trooper that she is

. Now if that happened to Max, he wouldn't let me get near him with with a 10-foot pole!!
I still take them for their professional groom every 2-3 months but I do touch ups in between. I will only take them to a groomer named Emily at a pet spa which is almost an hour away. They LOVE her and are so excited to see her so I feel ok about bringing them there and she does such a wonderful job with them. When Max comes out with her, he trots with his head held high, like he's in a show ring

. It's so funny and cute at the same time. So I don't feel any anxiety about bringing them there, and the kids don't seem to feel anxiety about going. Max has been going to her for about 3 years, and Abbie has been going to her since I got her a little over 2 years ago. If Emily ever leaves that place, I don't know what I'd do--I'd probably have to start grooming them myself

I freaked cause I thought she got in ants or something and know I don't have any mounds cause I check my yard every single day.... but after all the rain it easily could have been. But still - I can't believe I gave her such a bad razor burn and I used my little Wahl trimmers - from now on when I brag how much I love that trimmer I'm putting a warning in my posts - WATCH OUT FOR THE BOOTY ! |
