I have the butcher cut a shank between 3/4" and 1" thick. I make soup or stew with the meat and give the clean shank bone to the kids. They have them laying all over the house. Even Boo the Boxer chews on them and they have yet to do much damage. I took a couple of pics of one of the "favorites". This one has been around for a long time and has some tooth scrape marks. |
