If I were you, I wouldn't choose a toy dog at all, because it sounds too dangerous with those little ones. I'm sure they're sweet and wonderful children, but they're still kids, and accidents happen. If you really have your heart set on one of these breeds, though, I'd reccommend you get one from a rescue. That way, you could get one that is familiar with children, and also one that is one the much larger side, so injuries couldn't happen as easily.
