Hello! Welcome to YT Congrats on getting your first little yorkie! This site will definitely help answer your questions on how to care for her

Is there a small space you can close off for your puppy so that she doesn't have to stay in her crate and go potty in her actual den area? For instance, I've closed off a small part of my kitchen, just by using a baby gate. I put Luigi's crate there, his food&water bowl next to it, and his weewee pads a bit farther away, but still in the area. His crate is only big enough to allow him to get up and turn around..so he never pees in there. I let him out periodically to go on the weewee pads or to play. If I'm not able to watch him, then he stays in his pen or his crate (like I said previously in my reply above). He never gets full run of the house, unless I'm watching him like a hawk or he's on a leash and tied to me

So maybe you can try closing off a certain section in your house?
Hope this help a little. Best of luck with your new yorkie!
