For some reason this is my biggest fear with Kalina - that a Hawk will take her. Just thinking about that really scares me. I'm not sure about having coyotes in New Jersey.
Anyway,
I hope that your brother's dog maybe just ran away and will come home again. The blood could mean something else, right? The whole scenario is horrible and heartbreaking and I hope they find some peace.
