Default Political Toys from Fat Cats, Inc.

Higgins just loves his Dirty Rotten Kitty toy made by Fat Cats, Inc. in Vermont. Definitely the best made toys ever. He also likes their Crackle Frog.

And....not to start anything here....they also make one that is a George W. for our furbabies to chew up. To be fair, they also make a Hilary one, too!

But Higgins lives and breathes to play Frisbee with his little soft disc. Is positively Olympic class at catching it with great athletic style.

His latest passion is soccer. He started out with a soccer sized hard beach ball, like you find in the grocery stores. Then we bought him a huge one that is three sizes bigger than he is.....you wouldn't believe what he does with it. Has ABSOLUTE control of it and our house has now become a large "pinball" machine with all the furniture arranged so that his big ball can be run all over the place, when it isn't airborne knocking over plants and wine glasses. This is all done at WARP speed, with lots of growling and barking. He gets absolutely exhausted! Which is wonderful indoors-in-the-a/c exercise, since it is very hot and humid in Florida this summer.

Our vet says Higgs is the most hard muscled little dog he has ever seen and says it is great to see a Yorkie in such good physical condition. Prevents injuries. Now, if I could just follow Higgin's example......sigh........

Postscript: When we are engaged in a wild game of frisbee or ball and he's getting a little winded, or if we just want to stop the games and have a little "adult time", we tell Higgins to "rest". He IMMEDIATELY drops the disc or the ball or whatever toy and plops on the ground, always in a spot of shade, and actually rests. He has NEVER failed to obey this command to "rest" IMMEDIATELY......and the spooky thing is WE NEVER TAUGHT HIM TO DO THIS! We just said "Take a rest" one day and that's what he did and has done ever since. Aren't they just amazing little guys?????
