Also, it can take up to 3+years for a Yorkie to obtain his coat.
I breed & show. I study pedigrees like a hawk...having been doing so for over 30 years. I do not go just on the looks of the dog, but what that dog can produce. I also will never do a repeat breeding if the is ANY flaw in the pups, I don't just mean the icing (looks) but the cake. I have a beautiful bitch bred her to 1 of my dogs (that coat me mega $$) and they produced a litter of pups. 1 having a LP. So can not breed those 2 together again.
I guess what I want to say is for me breeding & showing does not produce an income for me. Maybe if I lowered my standards I could make some $$, but then I would not be able to sleep at night.
