Another thing that could explain Toby's lack of appetite .... are you sure that your friends at your party didn't "share" human snacks with him? I caught my son, during the holidays, giving a few little "party snack" mix to his Border Collie [it was a mixture of seseme sticks, pretzels, nuts, etc.] and Toto was right there wanting some too! I scooped her up before she got any and he said "Mom, relax, I always give Missy a little treat, it won't hurt Toto!" I, of course told him, "give Missy anything you choose, but Toto can't have any ... her little system is a tad different"! End of discussion!!
Also, I have noticed that friends who aren't pet owners haven't a clue that some things just aren't good for pets! It always surprises them!
