Is one coat easier to care for and maintain than the other?
Silk is much easier to care for, soft matts much easier.
Do they have different growth rates?
They say soft coats grow faster but I have not seen alot of difference in growth rates with my 2.
Do you prefer one coat type over the other?
Yes, because silk is much easier but a soft coated puppy is sure cute

Is there other type of yorkie coats besides silky and cotton?
Yes there is, wirey or what some call red legs.
