The question really isn't how often she'll have to go out when she's older, but how often she has to go out NOW. During the day, she may well need to potty every hour. If she isn't let out of her crate that often, it doesn't matter how small the crate is, she'll have no choice but to pee in it!

The other factor to take into consideration here is what were her living conditions before she came to you. If she was kept crated for extended periods of time, she has had to over-ride her natural instinct to keep her "den" clean. In that case, crate-training may be considerably more difficult.
