In my opinion AKC is it. I know that they are strict, BUT dont you think this decreases tremendously the chances of people like this lady getting away with things? Maybe CKC and the rest are up and coming, which is great! I just know AKC has been around forever it seems and when I tell people my puppies are AKC they know it stands for the best of the best. JMO. I looked at a CKC puppy the other day and fell in love with her, BUT my puppies are AKC and I will stick with them. I just love what AKC's quality stands for. JMO
I understand what you mean and kudos to you for reporting her. I wish more people would do that, regardless of registry, instead of just passing judgement. That is the only way ANY registry can weed out the good from the bad. I think sometimes that people get too caught up with papers (not that they are not important) and it becomes their primary concern rather than the ethics and integrity of the breeders themselves. It's foolish to think that just because a dog has ____ papers, that you can be sure of the quality dog you are getting. (Not directed at you, just a general statement.)
