Only you know how much you can handle at one time! That said, I think 5 dogs with incisions and pain meds might be quite a bit to handle. If you think of it from the pups' points of view -- each one will have gone through a traumatic experience, physically, and will need/want extra attention and comfort from mom. I know that when my boy was neutered, I took a couple days off from work to watch him, cuddle him, make sure his incision was OK and monitor him for pain. I had all I could handle with the one! But, again, only you know your doggies best. Good luck, whatever you decide.
