My vet acted like it could be a substitution-I'm not sure about that but I am hoping it helps in between and eliminates how much brushing I have to do since it is such a problem for Kiwi. I also purchased oral vet gel. I read it as a recommendation on YT and it looks easier than using a toothbrush.I haven't used it yet since she just finished her recovery from surgery lastek (2 baby teeth pulled and getting spayed)
