Bengi likes to bark so I know that sneaking him in is not a good option. I would be uncomfortable and tense during my stay and I wouldn't be able to relax. But even if you dog is quiet, you never know what can happen, they can find him and kick you out; but if that ok with you, you know, the adventure of having to find another place in the middle of your stay, do it. You never know how people may react; some are ok with it when they see a cute little doggie, but others go nutts.
I would ask before hand if they would accept him, otherwise I'll find a pet friendly place where I can have peace of mind. But that's me...
