I'd call and ask. You don't want to just BRING him and then get kicked out or fined, and you would be bummed out if you don't get to go somewhere! The worst they can say is no, and then you're not out anything since you weren't going to go if you couldn't take your dog anyway.
Sometimes they'll make exceptions for small dogs like yorkies. Also, explain to them that you take your dog everywhere, and that he/she will be in a playpen or in a crate when you're not there. They may allow you to bring your dog, but may also charge an extra fee for you to have them there. You might also offer to pay a refundable deposit of $100-$200 to help them decide to allow your dog to come there. Your confidence that your dog will not destroy anything, and that your dog's behavior is good might help you get them allowed in the cabin!
