What's up guys? Just wanted to see if any of you know anything about luxating patellas? I know that it's when the knees slip out of place, but what causes it and if it gets worse is it painful to them? I took my Lacy to the vet for her DHPPC and bordetella shots and just for a check up. Everything turned out OK except the doctor said she has luxating patellas. I guess there are different levels. Levels 1-4, level 4 being the worse and Lacy is at level one. She said that if I notice her in pain or limping then it's from her knees, but they don't bother her at all right now. Is this a common problem in yorkies? Does this condition get worse with age? And if so is there anyway I can stop it from getting worse in the future? Thanks ... your advice is appreciated.
