Because more and more people are wanting apartment size dogs.

Because you can have 7, 5# yorkies and not have as much dog poop as one lab.

When you think of the cost of feeding a big dog, and the cost of feeding a yorkie, a yorkie turns out to be a bargain in the long run.

Because they are just so darn CUTE.

And as the others have said, they are affordable if you just sacrifice a bit for them, and darn well worth it.
