Sounds like you have gotten some wonderful offers to help you with Buttercup. Could you have a doggy door installed where Buttercup could get into a secure area to do his business? I think it would make me very sad to give mine up. I know they are a lot of trouble but they certainly are a lot of company if you are confined to your home for awhile.
