Yorkies, even as adults, don't get beyond the toddler stage. I feel that if your life is too busy to watch a dog 24/7 (at least when you're home (obviously you would have other arrangements when you are at work) - then maybe you're not a candidate to own a Yorkie.

i think this topic is VERY case by case. Layla is not a toddler nor does she act like one. She has been TAUGHT not to chew or get into trouble, or even wander. and i hope to God your reference to falling asleep is not a very low stab at one of our LOVED members who just lost a yorkie. I avoid these posts like the plague but i thought i'd give you the chance to clarify that you were NOT referencing her.
