I wouldn't want to spend more than like $600 for a dog without papers. If they were AKC registered from non-show breeders, I would pay up to $1500. If they were AKC registered from show-breeders (although not to be used for show or breeding - pet only) I would spend up to $3000. I don't know how much I would pay if I was going to show or breed...
