CKC is pretty much a registry generally used by unreputable breeders. There aren't really any guidelines or restrictions like there are for AKC. Sometimes the dogs registered there aren't even purebred, which indicates that CKC dogs probably aren't of breeding quality.


Only dogs with two AKC parents can be registered AKC. But if your yorkie is just a pet, it doesn't matter. It doesn't make her any less of a lovely companion!
