aw sorry Mojo has put on a pound. I know a lot of people say its because of the neuter, but its really not. that is just a myth. Plenty of pets are spayed and neutered daily and do not gain excess weight after the procedure.
From what you've wrote it sounds like his food intake and treat intake are ok. Its possibly that his exercise regimen is lacking. I know that now that its hot outside and humid i take morgan out less because i dn't want to be out there with her
its too stinkin gross out there. morgan hasn't gained any weight tho (i can't seem to put any weight on this girl) but i know others who have dogs that gain a little in the summer months because they are too hot to be active. early morning and night time play outside might help because its cooler then, or right after it rains is a good time (if you don't mind him getting wet in the grass)
