I don't know who was more excited about who! Of course my mom had lots of treats with her (she knows how to bribe), but I think Susanah was genuinely happy to see her too.
She called my dad and told him to guess what she was holding. Apparently he couldn't figure it out because she proudly exclaimed, "Our new grandbaby!" and went on to describe her "cutest little nose" and "oh just wait til you see her little piggies" (piggies is our special word for feet - don't ask lol), "and her EYES, she has the prettiest eyes!", "Oh, James, just wait until you see her HAIR! It's so shiny and just an absolutely beautiful coat!".
Then I got to listen to the typical mom stuff. "Do you warm her food? I hope so. She could get a tummy ache eating cold food. Where is she sleeping? Can she see you from there? You aren't letting her cry herself to sleep are you?" and it goes on and on and on!
I love my mom and I love the way she loves my furbabies!
And in case ya'll are wondering: Yes, I warm her food. She sleeps in her stroller that is pulled right next to my side of the bed. It is zipped so there is no way she can get/fall out. No, I don't let her cry herself to sleep.
