I know what you mean. I was just having similar thoughts today. I had to take my little one to the emergency vet at about 10 p.m. last night because he just wasn't feeling well and not eating. He's fine now -- just a bug -- but I thought what a lucky pup he is to have a mom who will drive half-way across the city at 10 p.m. at night to get him some antibiotics when some animals don't have clean water, nutritious food, a safe place to rest and have never seen a vet. Right now my little angel is doped up on antibiotics and sleeping safely in his bed! He has no idea how lucky he is, but I do.
