Merricks flossies are my favorite type of Bully Stix to give Lacy. What do you mean they break off in pieces? Lacy has always chewed hers down well..sometimes stringy pieces come off or tiny soft pieces but they don't break off like big pieces of rawhide. I know nothing is 100% safe so I like to supervise her when she's chewing anything, but I feel like bully stix are pretty safe. They are 100% beef so are very digestible, unline rawhide. I just make sure and throw the bully stix away when she chews it down to a small piece so so doesn't choke on it.
