I got there as the last of the people were leaving with the flowers, food, etc... the mom and step dad were still there. It was awful. I couldn't help crying. I stayed away from people as much as I could.
Then everyone left and I cried my eyes out. I couldn't stop. It was hard to breathe. I couldn't stand the thought of that young man taken so early - the thought of his mom suffering so much. I read what she had written for the back of the bulletin - it was a letter to her son. It was so beautiful and heart wrenching.
I finally left work cause I couldn't function. I can't imagine what his mom and brother are going through.
