You can't go by the birth weight of the pup because the size of the litter and therefore the allotment of resources and space go into determining it. In my experience the pups will be bigger yorkies if they are that big at 5 weeks. It really depends on the line that they come from. Some lines, like mine, start out big as pups and slow down early. Example, Remi was 3lbs. 5 oz at 12 weeks and topped out at 5.5 lbs. Some grow steady, take a break and then growth spirt once you think they are done. It's all an estimate as they will be the size that they are meant to be. What size are the parents and grandparents, that should help you in determining the estimate. It should do a better job for you than the chart. Rule of thumb, double the 12 week size.
