Just to add...
3 of our 5 dogs were aquired w/ AKC reg only. We had them dual reg w/ CKC and were asked for their AKC reg number at minimum each time.
(And
for the record, they were aquired w/ full AKC reg and were cross reg w/ the breeders' knowledge and consent.
