ok this may sound stupid........ but if she is on cough suppresants to make her stop, and she doesnt cough because of them...... how in the hell are you supposed to know if it is gone or not????
the coughing may have been bad at times.... but i put toby on children tylenol cough and cold medicine ...... it didnt stop the coughing all together, but it stopped it enough so that it wasnt violent, he coughed up mucous once or twice and then the kennel cough was gone shortly after, it seems if you use a strong cough suppresant the mucous will just sit there and not get any better......
I dunno the specifics, but im just saying, ..... im glad toby didnt go on those heavy meds
