I have to agree. Trying to rear a baby bird is darn near impossible...even for someone who knows what they are doing. And plus, they DO occasionally carry disease that dogs are susceptible to. Sadly, I would think the best option would be for you to let nature take it's course. (Keeping an eye out for cats, obviously, because that is not "nature." )
