sorry to sound cruel but i would have left it alone. I think its just natures way. if the mother pushed it out of the nest and it doesn't make it then that's the way its supposed to be.

I've worked in rescue for years and we'd get baby birds in all the time. Honestly alot of the bird rescues will not come and get the bird themselves. You have to drive it over there. Also, alot of the baby birds will die, even with care.
