I think that is a great idea, for example checking shelter sights. I have such a long list of California shelters, as well as Petfinder, which I get a daily update from regarding Male Yorkies. Other people have mentioned monitoring "Lost and found" advertisements in newspapers, Yorkie meetup groups near Modesto, Tracy, etc. etc.
Maureen what do you think? Perhaps you could discuss this with Sherlock Bones as well.
